Salvation Unto Us Has come!

Why did the Son of God come down from heaven?
For us men and for our salvation.
We remember during Holy Week why and how God loves us.
In this way God loves us:
He sent His only begotten Son to pay for our sins by dying on the cross. The innocent dies so the guilty live. The dark day of the crucifixion of Jesus will soon break forth with the Glory of God on Resurrection Day when Jesus rises from the dead, conquering sin, death, and the devil. Those baptized into Jesus have been given a great promise from Him. We too will one day rise from the dead to new life, without sin and suffering, in the resurrection.

On this Resurrection Day many of us will sing:
“Jesus is risen and we shall arise, Give God the glory! Alleluia!”
May Christ have mercy on us all.
